No. 2 is 20 away from No. 1.

Tonight vs. Boston (9:30 ET, Prime), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander goes for his 127th consecutive 20-point game, which would pass Wilt Chamberlain (126) for the longest streak in NBA history.

1. ON PRIME: SGA EYES HISTORY VS. BOSTON, PHILLY FACES DETROIT

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jayson Tatum

History is in the air.

Two days after Bam Adebayo wedged his name between Wilt Chamberlain and Kobe Bryant on the single-game scoring list, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will look to pass Wilt for the longest-ever streak of consecutive 20-point games.

Tonight vs. Boston (9:30 ET, Prime), Shai, tied with Chamberlain at a record 126 straight 20-pieces, can stand alone with No. 127.

“My whole life is consistent.”

SGA dropped that bar almost exactly two years ago, on March 8, 2024, following a 37-point night to beat Bam’s Heat.

Since then, he’s raised the bar.

The Standard: Shai’s 20-point streak began on Nov. 1, 2024. In his 126 games since, he’s averaged 32.5 ppg on 53.5% shooting
The Takeovers: That includes 85 30-pieces, 18 40-pieces and all five of his career 50-balls. All three marks are tied for or leading the NBA in that span
The Hardware: The individual accolades have followed: 2 All-Star selections, a scoring crown, a Kia MVP and a Finals MVP

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

The Impact: The latter award came with an NBA title – the ultimate payoff of Shai’s consistency. During his 20-point streak, OKC has gone 102-24 (.810) with SGA in the lineup.

Only one other team has 100+ wins in that span: Boston.

Shai’s secret? Just work – day after day, 20-piece after 20-piece, win after win.

“He’s ruthlessly consistent in the invisible spaces,” said OKC coach Mark Daigneault in December. “The commitment he has to the game, his craft, the team …
“It’s no accident that he’s the player that he is – he’s literally chiselled himself into this player.”

Now, facing Jayson Tatum and the East’s 2nd-place Celtics, a team that’s won 14 of its last 18 games, Shai will look to pass Wilt’s streak – and lead OKC to another dub.

VJ Edgecombe, Cade Cunningham

Before the last two NBA champs collide, the Pistons host the Sixers (7 ET, Prime), each seeking a timely win amid the East Playoff race.

Detroit entered March with a 5.5-game lead over Boston atop the conference. That’s dwindled to 3.5 after a recent four-game skid – the Pistons’ longest of the season.

But Detroit, built on its grit, embraced the struggle.

“Everybody goes through difficult times,” said Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff. “We just found ours right now … we’ve got plenty of time left to do what we got to do.”

Detroit’s unwavering mentality showed in Tuesday’s win over Brooklyn. The Pistons got back to what they do best, with Cade Cunningham orchestrating (21 pts, 15 ast) as their top-2 defense held the Nets to 100 points.

Philly’s resolve also shined Tuesday. Hours after learning they’d be without Tyrese Maxey (finger) for at least three weeks, the Sixers rallied from 14 down to snap a two-game slide.

Depth Delivers: That included a career-high 32 points from Cam Payne (8-8 3PT) and 21 from VJ Edgecombe, igniting a 41-point 4th quarter to stamp the comeback
“We were playing our guts out,” said Sixers coach Nick Nurse on the win. “That’s all we talked about before the game.”

2. 83 ENCORE: BAM LEADS STREAKING HEAT VS. BUCKS ON LEAGUE PASS

Bam Adebayo, Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bam Adebayo delivered one of the greatest performances in league history Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, the team around him is heating up — and shaking up the East while they’re at it.

Tonight on League Pass (7:30, ET), the Heat host the Bucks in search of their 7th consecutive victory. It would also mark 10 wins in the last 12 for 6th-place Miami.

Backward March: During this month last season, Miami went just 6-11, including a season-worst 10-game losing streak
Forward March: The team is a perfect 5-0 this time around, ranking 2nd in the league in OffRtg (125) in March and outscoring opponents by 16.4 ppg
“You can sense that our locker room is trying to seize the moment right now,” said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra

Bam Adebayo, Heat

Miami has its eyes on a top-6 bid to the Playoffs, and its current surge is no accident, writes RotoWire.com’s Austin Remo:

After three consecutive years in which they had to fight through the SoFi Play-In Tournament to earn a postseason berth, the Heat are playing some of their best basketball of the season…

Miami is currently riding a six-game winning streak that includes impressive victories over Houston, Charlotte and the East-leading Detroit Pistons. They’re 8-2 since returning from the All-Star break, fueled by Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro and a deep, gritty bench…

3. MORE ON LEAGUE PASS: WEMBY & JOKER DUEL AS SPURS HOST NUGGETS

Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokić

With just over a month until the SoFi Play-In Tournament tips on April 14, the season’s final stretch has a whole lineup of thrillers on the way.

Tonight? One of the biggest first meetings of the 2025-26 season.

Spurs-Nuggets, 9 ET on League Pass: Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokić are set to face off for the first time in over a year as the Spurs welcome the Nuggets.

The Trilogy: Today marks the first of three meetings over the final month of the season between the teams, both Top 5 in the West, along with Wemby & Joker, both Top 4 in the Kia MVP Ladder.

Without Wemby: Vic wasn’t available when his Spurs eked out a 3-point win in Denver on Nov. 28, with Joker stuffing the stat sheet (21 pts, 9 reb, 10 ast)
Teaming Up: The two titans most recently shared the court on the same side for Team World in the All-Star Game, where Joker checked up on Wemby’s reading list and asked for his Alien insignia
New Dynamic: Jokić’s Nuggets hold a 4-2 edge in games between the two, but this is the first time they’ll face off with San Antonio (2nd) ahead of Denver (5th) in the standings

Wemby himself is a changed player since their last duel, as he aims to slow one of the game’s greatest offensive orchestrators.

In their six-game history, Jokić (36.8 pts, 11.3 reb, 8.5 ast) has outscored Wemby (25.2 ppg, 14.7 reb, 4 blk), with outbursts of 46, 41 and 42. But they’ve each displayed their unique skill set
Clamp Time: This season, Wemby leads the league in defensive leverage (tap for more, powered by AWS), meaning his defense improves San Antonio’s win probability by 30%
Flip Side: He’ll face his toughest task in Jokić, who has the top offensive leverage, improving Denver’s chances by 18.2%
⬇️ Here’s a look at how they’ve combatted each other over the years:

Nikola Jokić, Victor Wembanyama

Jokić spins and seals Wemby, but finds out Vic is never really out of any play.

Nikola Jokić, Victor Wembanyama

Lesson learned, Joker approaches with patience, using a shot fake to bait the prolific shot-blocker.

Nikola Jokić, Victor Wembanyama

Deeper in his bag, Jokić uses his physicality to create space with contact, then lofts a perfect teardrop over Wemby’s 7-foot-4 frame.

But Wemby closes gaps athletically, chasing down Joker to swat his shot after a bait-and-burst.

With 16 wins in their last 17 contests, the Spurs have built an 8-game cushion for 2nd in the West. They now seek a sixth straight W.

The Nuggets aim for their second win in two nights, sitting just a half-game back of both the 3rd-place Rockets and 4th-place Lakers.

Denver Gauntlet: Since All-Star, the Nuggets have navigated the league’s toughest remaining schedule (.543 opp. avg. win%), per John Schuhmann
One Advantage? 14 of their final 22 games come in Denver – the league’s most home-heavy remaining schedule

More On League Pass: The Hawks seek an 8th straight win, hosting the Nets (7:30 ET), while Luka Dončić and the Lakers look to keep climbing, visiting the Bulls (10:30 ET).

Wizards at Magic (7 ET)
Mavericks at Grizzlies (8 ET)

4. WILD WEST: KAWHI DROPS 45, NUGGETS MOVE TO 5, PELS TOP RAPTORS

Kawhi Leonard

With a chance to grab the Clips’ first winning record since a 3-2 start, Kawhi Leonard took matters into his own claws.

Clippers 153, Wolves 128: Kawhi (45 pts, 5 reb, 5 ast, 15-20 FG) would not be stopped, as LA opened the 4th with a 28-8 run, racing away from Anthony Edwards (36 pts, 5 ast) and the Wolves to move to 33-32. | Recap

“We’ve been fighting with our back against the wall all year,” Leonard said. “So these games are fun for us… knowing that our hard work has paid off.”

Klaw’s Club: Kawhi joined Blake Griffin and Bob McAdoo as the only players in franchise history to score 45+ while shooting 75% or better in a game
New Clips Cook: Bennedict Mathurin added 22 points, and Darius Garland (21 pts, 6 ast, 5 3s) had his third straight 20+ point game, improving to 5-0 with his new squad
After starting 6-21, LA is over .500 for the first time since Nov. 3, holding a one-game edge for 8th
“The job ain’t done,” Leonard said. “We wanna get in the Playoffs and make some noise.”

Nikola Jokić

Before Jokić faces Wemby tonight (9 ET, LP), the offensive artist painted yet another masterpiece on Wednesday – one that was four years in the making.

Nuggets 129, Rockets 93: With 16 points, 12 boards and 13 dimes, Jokić tallied his 25th triple-double of the year, a mark he’s now hit in four straight seasons, while Jamal Murray dropped 30 to power Denver past Houston, snapping a two-game skid. | Recap

The Painting: Jokić is the first player in NBA history to notch four consecutive seasons of 25+ triple-doubles
The Perspective: Only one other player has recorded four such seasons overall (Russell Westbrook), and Jokić’s 25 triple-doubles this year have come in just 50 games played
5 & 5: The Joker added 5 steals in the win, as Denver jumped Minnesota for 5th
Wild, Wild West: Four teams (HOU, LAL, DEN, MIN) seeded No. 3-6 are now separated by just a half-game

Brandon Ingram was back in the Big Easy, but ran into a hard challenge.

Pelicans 122, Raptors 111: In his first game back in New Orleans since being traded in February of last year, Ingram did a bit of everything (22 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast, 4 stl), but the Pels’ core was too much, as NOLA used a 24-9 run late in the 4th to top Toronto. | Recap

Triple Threat: Trey Murphy III (28 pts, 3 stl) and Dejounte Murray (27 pts, 6 ast) led the way, while Zion Williamson added 19 points

5. IN THE EAST: MAGIC EDGE CAVS, KNICKS RALLY, HORNETS DUB

Desmond Bane

With exactly one month left in the regular season, the Magic are playing their best ball.

Magic 128, Cavaliers 122: With the Cavs down eight and 1:09 left, James Harden (30 pts, 5 reb, 8 ast) and Donovan Mitchell (25 pts, 5 reb, 5 ast) each hit ridiculous treys to cut the lead to two.

But Desmond Bane answered right back, drilling a dagger 3 with 18 ticks left before icing it at the line, as Orlando extended its win streak to a season-high five games. | Recap

Bane Time: Bane finished with a game-high 35 points and 6 dimes, while Paolo Banchero did it all (25 pts, 8 reb, 7 ast) and Tristan da Silva added 23
Climbing Chaos: Orlando is now 8-3 post All-Star break, jumping Miami and Toronto for 5th in the East, with the three teams separated by just a half-game

Jalen Brunson, LaMelo Ball

Facing a potential third straight loss amid a crowded East race, the Knicks dug deep – then went off.

Knicks 134, Jazz 117: Down 18 early in the 2nd quarter, New York outscored Utah 101-68 the rest of the way, with Jalen Brunson (28 pts, 8 ast) and Jordan Clarkson (27 pts) igniting a monster 2nd half to storm past Brice Sensabaugh (29 pts, 5 ast) and the Jazz. | Recap

All Cylinders: Karl-Anthony Towns (21 pts, 7 reb, 7 ast) and OG Anunoby (22 pts) each added 20-pieces, as New York scored 40 in the 3rd and 38 in the 4th to halt a two-game slide

Hornets 117, Kings 109: Charlotte’s core four of LaMelo Ball (30), Miles Bridges (26), Kon Knueppel (24) and Brandon Miller (20) combined for 100 points, overpowering Sacramento despite a huge night from DeMar DeRozan (39 pts, 6 ast).  | Recap

DeMar Passes Duncan: Shooting a blistering 77.3% from the field (17-22), DeRozan passed Tim Duncan (26,496) for 18th place on the all-time scoring list
